These fabrics are 1800s reproductions created to look like fabric from the 19th century from a variety of Manufacturers.

Asian

 

From Japan and Japanese designers we carry E.E. Schenck's Serenity line, Hokkoh from Japan, Westex Prints imported by Kona Bay, and Kinkame prints and wovens imported by Clothworks Textiles.  From American companies and designers we carry Asian prints from Kona Bay, Robert Kaufman, Seattle Bay, Micheal Miller, Red Rooster Fabrics and Hoffman Fabrics.

Basics And Blenders

Basics and blender fabrics for quilts, home dec and clothing. Groups include solids, dots, textures, cross weaves and tonals from manufacturers Michael Miller, Moda, Kona Bay, Robert Kaufman, Hoffman and Clothworks.

Batiks

The fabric is either painted by hand with dye, batiked, or created with a combination of these processes. Some designs have as many as five different techniques used to create the finished piece. The patterns, which use traditional ‘batik’ methods, are created using a special copper ‘chop’. The chop is dipped in hot wax and stamped onto the cloth, creating a wax-resisted design. The 100% cotton fabric is then saturated and hand painted with fiber reactive dyes. Where the wax has been applied, the color is repelled, thus creating the image that you see. Sometimes this process is repeated several times with each overlay of color adding a new dimension. Because human hands make each design in a natural environment, no two yards are exactly alike. This cloth is truly a piece of art.

Black And White

Black and White fabric collections. Black and white fabrics are a great way to show off brights and large scale prints, but are wonderful all on their own as well. We have a great collection of black and white prints, from tiny dots, to large florals.

Childrens

Flannel quilting fabric or brushed cotton fabric for quilters.
