Needle Felting
Needle Felting is a needlework technique that is enjoying a revival along with a renewed interest in wool applique and embellishment. 100% wool roving is felted on wool fabric or into three dimensional shapes using special needles with tiny barbs on the tip. The barbs grab the wool roving and felt the fibers together.
Tools for Needle Felting are simple. You need barbed needles and a firm foam or brush to push your needles into. The foam (note styrofoam will not work) or brush protects your needles and keeps them from breaking as will as protecting your fingers!
We carry wool roving assortments from Wistyria Editions as well as felting needles from Clover and Wistyria Editions. We also stock felting foam and brushes, and needle felting books and patterns.
