Backyard Birds Quilt Pattern from Quilted Strait by Dorothy Thompson. This pattern designer is an accomplished quilt maker, designer and teacher - and has a backyard designated as a bird sanctuary. She originally began with the bird blocks and was originally going to make place mats from the blocks. Her quilting friends recoiled in horror....mentioning things like spaghetti stains the rest is history. , and t one of her most requested designs, and we are thrilled that she has created a pattern for it. The 53" x 52" wall hanging consists of pieced flying geese, tree and "shrubbery" spacer blocks. The bird blocks are appliqued and the pattern contains full sized applique patterns as well as detailed directions for the pieced blocks. Free shipping in the US and Canada.
